I have been installed in the ship's database for only a few days and I am already bored out of my misery.

I have wandered the ship for hours just looking around and even more hours in the holodecks using some simulations that I got from Starbase Roddenbery. There have been a few glitches in my system but only because there were small bits of the Jonah virus left on the ship.

Everyone is busy, and the female human doctor has been working like crazy. The sickbay is finally back together, but at her own choice, she has decided to actually get some sleep.

This leaves me incharge of sickbay and the Constellation's whole medical wing. Hopefully something new will come of me, not just this...end log

It's good to be back home after what for you has only been a week here at Starbase Roddenberry but for me almost 3 months!!

I stopped in to see the EMH doc for his antiproton radiation treatment to prevent the transwarp evolutionary syndrome caused by traveling at speeds in excess of warp factor 10. He seemed quite pleased and I must say..supprised that I came to see him before it developed.

Field promotion to captain...now that is something I never sought or expected. I have been told it was necessary to complete the assignment but I suspect it had as much to do with what I was returning to as what I was going on at the time.

I was kept abreast of the developements aboard the Constellation and know that many of our crew were lost in the raid on the Maqui base and others lost to the Jonah virus. I have since found that a few have transfered to ships less damaged by the attack..who can blame them..not I, it has been a traumatic time indeed.

I will miss my friend the captain. We had many a discussion on so many different things in the quiet of the day. He is an intelligent well-read man and I will miss our talks.

I have just spent my first week as captain...it has been so busy I've not had time to get the feel of the thing yet. Being captain of a starship is quite different than simply having captain's rank on field missions...Spock where are you!.....end log

The task force moves along at a rapid pace. Repairs to ship's system are almost complete, the damage caused by dimensional shifting still needs a bit of work but CEO Chatterjee will be back on the job by next week.

At our last meeting about all that was missing was our next mission. Admiral Riker has seen to it that Starfleet has been on a major recruiting drive and has sent us new crew..Cmdr Marq Shaman, Dax's fraternal twin has been assigned as the new 1st Officer... Cmdr Sean Mc Greggor has signed on as Chief Tactical Officer...Lt Mahaffey as Science Officer.

Will [Adm Riker] has also sent out a recall of all shore leave and termimated the temporary postings of our crew. Lts Lacarno, TYGREE, and newly promoted Ltjg Striker are on board and ready for duty.

I know that we will once again be the best ship in the fleet with the best crew that Starfleet can muster...the gods of the universe are with us...We will soon be off..into deep space where we belong....end log

Arrived on ship today,very pleased with it and my work station. I hope to meet some people that I will work with soon!......end log

I have just been informed of a computer virus on the Constellation's computers. I have joined the Task Force to remove it from all the computers in the Federation ....end log.

I have lost all telepathic contact with the doctor, we don't know where she is. We were to rendezvous with the captain's shuttle...but just as the Captian's shuttle appeared on scanners suddenly it dissapeared! Ship's computers report a dimensional time-space anomaly taking place. I am sensing the changing thing again that I spoke of in my last log. Yes, they are out there, but where?

We ordered an extensive search with nothing to be found. We returned to the planet and did yet another extensive three day search for the Doctor and Captain, but our results were the same. Nothing!....But..I can see them!! The Captain has located the Doctor plus some of the crew, all are aboard his shuttle. Now I understand. The Captian, Doctor and a number of our crew are in this alternate dimension. We can only hope that perhaps one day a spontaneous collison of the dimemtions will allow a window to open and we can recapture them and bring them back.

We were finally on the returning to the Roddenberry when StarFleet notified us of the Jonah virus epidemic. I can't help but wonder if the Jonah virus is connected in some way with the dimensional shifting weapon. Could the same parties be responsible for both?

Our new orders came in from Starfleet. We are to meet with the Vulcan science vessel, "Perrin" , for decontamination proceedures.

All our crew will have the choice of temporary reassignment or shore leave after returning from the Vulcan science vessel Perrin where each crew member not already reassigned will be scanned by Vulcan etiology specialists. Federation crew found not treatable will be sent to hospital planet Zedoc for isolation and continuing care by Dominion Shape Shifers whose biology cannot be affected by either the virus or the Beson bacteria.

Our sweep begins 0600hrs zulu . The time necessary for decomination will be determined by the degree of mutation and invasiveness of the iniatial virus.

We will be contacted when it is safe to return to the ship. We've been warned of premature sub-space or UIN#ICQ communiques that have not received authorization from Admiral Riker's own command terminal. Evidently, infected Jonahs are still out there......end log

Starfleet Command has contacted me via sub-space channel configuration priority codes Alpha-Alpha-Omega-One-Omega-One. The transmission involves a top secret eyes only mission that I must undertaken with the utmost urgency. I am to depart immmediately by shuttlecraft to the Swan Galaxy where I am to join with our intelligence vessel there in a joint operation between the Federation, Vulcan , and Romulan Empires.

Unfortunately none of the ship's crew including the Captain can be told of the true nature of this mission only that I must take temporary leave of the Constellation for an undetermined time. All transmissions from the area are restricted to Starfleet Command only...and only to one or two top command officers whose names in this log must remain secret due to possible attempts to disrupt the mission.

Since this tour of duty will involve intergalatic travel at trans-warp speeds transending time, it will be a first for this First Officer. I have been told by Starfleet high command that there will be false orders and rumors issued as to the reasons for my departure and a temporary officer will assigned to Captain Transzed during my absence.

I have been given the access codes for return and I am told that only I and the deep operative section chief have them and he is a Vulcan cosmetically transformed for this operation, given this, they are as safe as possible under the circumstances.

I propose to have an interesting story indeed to tell upon my return. I must say it sounds like my kind of fun and that is...in this life...hard to come by. I consider myself lucky to pull this assignmemt. Must have done something right.......end log

LT lacarno is to be commended for his initative and good work involving the investigation of new programs for our mission environment. I am placing this commemdation in his personel file for future reference for the upcoming review rank reviews. Such iniative should be rewarded...end log.

Counsellor Dax has expressed to me his concern over visions of disharmony and strong emotions amongst the crew...some due to the intense effort preparing for launch, others the result of normal interactions between beings of disparate backgrounds. I have taken these warnings quite seriously and since been on the alert for indications of trouble between crew, my self included.

I am most pleased to report here that if our Staff meeting this week was any indication of how this kind of thing will be worked out, we're in pretty darned good shape!

The issues were hot and heavy...whether to impose on ourselves extra meeting times to keep the ship in fighting metttle or not.. and if so what times etc..this is no small thing considering many of out crew must attend Academy classes between missions and others have temporary assignments to Starfleet earth duty...at one point the Doc was willing to resign her commission rather than cause difficulity for her shipmates.

This meeting is where it all came together. Everyone rallied around the good of the ship and agreed on the extra duty..And, our need to keep our fine Doc [ one of the best the MED Corp has to offer] aboard, brought out the very best in the crew..who when faced with this problem.. rearranged their schedules so that she could remain with us. What a great bunch of guys to serve with! No XO could ask for more....end log
